Privacy Policy

Lovent ("we", "the app") is an Android application developed by Ramune that discovers local events using AI-powered web search. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data We Collect

Lovent is designed with a privacy-first approach. We collect and process the minimum data necessary for the app to function:

• Area names: The area names you register (e.g. "Shibuya", "Manhattan") are sent to the AI service (OpenAI) via our proxy server for event discovery. These area names are not stored on our servers.
• Calendar data: If you enable Google Calendar sync, the app reads your calendar list to let you choose a target calendar, and writes event entries when you favorite events. Calendar access is used solely for this purpose.

All other data is stored locally on your device only:

• Collected event data (titles, dates, locations, descriptions)
• Favorites and reminder settings
• App preferences (theme, language, category filters)
• Registered area names

We do not collect:

• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Precise location data (GPS)
• Contact lists or call logs
• Browsing history

2. API Rate Limiting

To prevent abuse, our server applies rate limiting on event collection requests. No personal information is stored on our servers for this purpose. Requests are limited per IP address and reset daily (UTC).

3. Google Calendar Access

If you choose to enable Google Calendar sync, Lovent requests calendar read/write permission. This permission is used solely for:

• Reading your calendar list to let you select a target calendar
• Creating calendar events when you add events to favorites
• Deleting calendar events when you remove events from favorites
• Setting reminders at your chosen time

Calendar permission is optional and the app functions fully without it.

4. Third-Party Services

Lovent uses the following third-party services:

• OpenAI API (via Cloudflare Worker proxy): Used to search the web and discover events in your registered areas. Only area names and search parameters are sent. Please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps SDK: Used to display events on a map. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.

No advertising SDKs, analytics tools, or other tracking services are used.

5. Data Storage

All event data, favorites, settings, and user preferences are stored locally on your device using Android Room Database and DataStore. No event data or user preferences are stored on external servers controlled by us.

6. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Uninstalling Lovent will permanently delete all stored data.
• You can clear the app's data at any time through Android Settings > Apps > Lovent > Clear Data.
• Calendar events created by the app can be managed through Google Calendar.

7. Children's Privacy

Lovent is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
